GES Students Benefit From Donation
Special Thanks to Dr. David Braswell for donating two fully equipped dental chairs for the Kidzeum’s exhibit, “Stuffee Stays Healthy”! Each child at Grenada Elementary School sat in real dental chairs to feel what it might be like to go to the dentist. Kidzeum Director Beth Muselwhite stated, “This was an invaluable experience for the children to be able to get a comfortable feel for going to the dentist.” The children in grades K-3 helped take Stuffee, the Kidzeum’s mascot, to visit the Kidzeum Dentist. Children were involved in hands-on activities to learn what happens at the dentist’s office, and learned why brushing and flossing are so important. The Kidzeum appreciates dental hygienists, Tange James and Candy Stone, who visited the students in the hallways of GES to remind them to brush and floss. In addition to donating the dental chairs, Dr. Braswell’s office donated toothbrushes and toothpaste for the children at our school.
