GMS & GCTC Awards 2015



            Once again, as the year draws to a close, schools in the Grenada District are honoring students whose work has been exemplary this year. Awards programs abound, and students who have excelled in their classes should be recognized. Even though only a certain number of students receive end of the year awards each year, the Grenada School District is proud of all its students and their accomplishments. Keep up the good work!

The Grenada Middle School honored its top students recently during three separate awards programs. Students honored for their class achievements in the sixth grade included (in no particular order): Kira Finkley, Christiana Page, Iyonia Bankston, Ashton Parker, Shamira Mister, Mason Pettit, William Kissling, Zion Lott, Elando Hardiman, Cassidy Allen, Karington Marshall, Zachary Hathcock, Aric King, Romeo Chamberlain, Ella Simmons, Noah Ferri, Shantoria Parker, Hannah Briscoe, Cinaiya Brown, Kentrell Pratt, Danielle Nix, Hallie Kerr, Neely Sherman, Kylie Laird, Genesis Amorin, Allison Holland, Kimhong Kangheng, Lane Lemley, Karlie Bloodworth, Presley Hale, Lindsey Ingram, Leah Kinard, Madelyn Anthony, Parker Goodson, Kayla Herrington, Anna James, Parker Mullen, Ryan Wood, Kristian Bell, Dawson Carnathan, Jacob Habig, Bailee Nail, and Addison Sherman.

The Grenada Career and Technical Center recognized its skillful students with a breakfast in the GHS Cafeteria recently. Students who excelled in their courses were recognized by Dr. Cliff Craven and the staff of the GCTC. Students included: Jonathan Evans, Devin Wiggins, Tyler Kelly, Cameron Dunn, Channing Goss, Douglas Brown, Dustin Lee, Kaitlyn Youngblood, Savannah Nobles, Gracie Lott, Althia Topps, Kristin Thomas, Alexis Brown, Alex Ferguson, Kaylan Ware, Anna Claire Hood, Coley Brooks, Courtney Mack, Anderson Roberts, Emily Holley, Sydnie Clements, Blake Tilghman, Darius Shelby, Dylan Jeffords, LaKendra Stewart, Shantelle Parker, Tanesha Love, Kallie Denley, Megan Vining, and Samantha Melton.

Grenada School District would like to congratulate all these high achievers for their efforts. We commend you for your hard work. We would also like to encourage every student in the district to strive for excellence not only academically, but also in each and every task you set out to accomplish.
